This post contains part of Day 2 and Day 3. At the end of Day 2 we went to Den Den Town. There was really way too much stuff there to see. There is so many different stores for games, anime, anything you can think of. We barley dented the place! We also enjoyed the most relaxing bath at the end of the day.
On our third day we decided to go to the Kaiyukan Aquarium which is probably one of the biggest Aquariums in the country. It was packed to the brim with people, but we did get to see a lot of fish and the surrounding area was bustling with shops and things to see. I had a delicious lunch and we had some soba for dinner. Best piece of advice is to avoid this place like the plague during Golden Week! It was quite a sight to see. The place is huge and the entire layout of the building is awesome.
Today's Daily vending machine and sign!
The vending machine is for random computer parts and what have you. The sign is awesome... I am not sure if I should criticize to the first floor if the place is on fire.
There are tons of pictures I could have taken, but I would have been there all day! Here is some random pictures. One of the places had a ton of old Game & Watches.
Super Potato had a couple of giant Mario statues kicking around.
Another store had there entire floor covered in old video game posters. (Note: This store was not small so it was amazing to see it covered.
This was a giant railgun that was outside of a model shop we went in. The price is about $1000+. We decided to go through the entire building which was 5-floors of everything you would ever want to build. (Cars, Dolls, Trains, etc) It is an expensive hobby.
Things I got in Den Den Town. A mouse pad, which is a present for a friend. The final item was quite a 'journey' to get.
This was the giant Ferris Wheel that is located just next to the aquarium. We did not get to go on it because the line was so long.
Outside of the aquarium was a place for events. We watched this one guy on a unicycle juggle some blades. He was pretty funny.
There were a couple of places offering boat rides around the area.
This is the outside of the aquarium. It was very impressive to look at from the outside. As you can see there were a ton of people. We had a wait time of around 1-2 hours to get in. (We were able to eat lunch and explore the shopping centre though. We got to see a One Piece store and a Studio Ghibli store.
Some pictures of the various things we saw. We don't have a lot of good pictures because it was really hard to take pictures in the crowds.
We saw them feeding the dolphins. (Sorry there are no pictures of the dolphins because they were so fast!)
Tons of fish!
Those crabs creep me out. The jellyfish were cool.
There was this statue of the Little Mermaid nearby.
This was lunch! It was really good. It is basically a pancake with tons of different fish inside.
We found this cool Castlevania Arcade Game. You can see some videos below. Sorry they are so short.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
This looks so goddamn cool. I'm not sure if I can read any more of your posts because I might die ='(
ReplyDeleteThe Castlevania game looks awesome. Do you have two weapons which you wield? Or just the one strange green rod? It was a little difficult to hear your voice.
Other than that, what's next on your agenda??
