Arrival in Kyoto

We left Hotel Mikado early morning and headed for Osaka Station. At Osaka Station we stopped for lunch at a cafe and picked up our JR Rail Pass. After getting out rail pass we got on a train headed for Kyoto. We arrived in Kyoto around 1pm and had to wait until 3pm to check in.

We decided to wander around the local area for a bit. We found a couple of interesting stores. Kyoto is defiantly unique when compared to Osaka. There are a lot more smaller one way streets and very traditional Japanese buildings.

We checked in at 3pm and got comfortable. Colin and I headed out for food. We did a bit of exploring and found a shrine. We snapped a couple of pictures, but they were just closing up. We headed back to the hostel to get rested.

Daily Vending Machine and Sign

This picture was taken on our last night at Hotel Mikado. The manager of the hotel was kind enough to take it for us.

We found this Nintendo store about 1 minute away from our hostel. I also snapped a picture of one of the streets we walked through.

Another picture in Kyoto.

Pictures of the temple we found.

A bell!

Pizza Hut!

Pictures of the living room area of the hostel. I am very impressed with how nice it is.

That's all for today. I am getting tired from all the traveling ;o. Have a Happy Mother's Day!
