Catching up - Day 7 Kyoto & Osaka

After arriving in Kyoto on the 6th, we did a day trip to Osaka on the 7th. However, I did not take a lot of pictures in Osaka (it was mostly shopping, wandering, and street food), so I will focus on our place in Kyoto.

The entrance. It was a more traditionally Japanese place, so you had to take off your shoes before entering. Also note the sliding doors.

This was the main room. It had a low table, but with a very nice hole in the floor for your feet.

The far sliding door lead to a sitting room, with a courtyard. This is typically where I would sit and read while waiting for everyone to wake up.

A shot from our Osaka expedition; I really liked the calligraphy of this logo. It is the name Wanaka (わăȘか) written to look like an octopus, which I thought was very clever and well done.
