Hakone Ryokan

I am writing this from our room in Hakone. We are staying at our second and final ryokan of our journey; we are staying here for 2 nights.

It is a small, pretty town. A river runs through it, which has an odd light-blue colour to it.

Going in the front entrance.

After a tour of the facilities by the staff, we arrived at our room.

We have 2 big rooms, as well as a storage room, and a fairly massive balcony.

The balcony actually wraps around the entire corner.

This is the view from it. We are only on the second floor, but it is nice to be next to a river.

A very nice courtyard.

Also featuring a koi pond in the building.

They do full service meals here, so I took a few shots of our courses. These are all my meals (vegetarian).

It looks like a nice place, and we have another full day to explore it and the surrounding area.

I'm looking forward to it.
