Free Day

Today was our free day; which means that we didn't have anything planned for today. What ended up happening is that everyone did their own thing for the most part.

Cristian and Ambernay went to a Buddhist temple for some buddhist-vegan food.

Matt and Bram had to go get some money from the bank.

Which left me alone.
So, I made my decision.

This is Kinkaku-ji, The Golden Pavilion

Like any Japanese attaction, the grounds were very nice looking,

From the back.

A heron, just chilling.

A neat little waterfall.

You were supposed to try and throw money into the bowl, or perhaps hit the little prayer bell in front.

There was also this neat looking pigeon there.

Afterwards, I went home. Bram came home later, and the two of us went shopping in downtown Kyoto.
We went through Nishiki Market together.

Afterwards, by sheer random chance, we ran into Matt.

Matt and Bram got some takoyaki. It was very hot, and Matt was filled with regret and suffering after eating them too soon. That is his regret face.

It was a pretty good day, and I am pretty happy that I didn't get lost going off on my own.
